Butterfly Park

Why Butterfly Park?

The butterfly is a symbol for Hospice, with the change from caterpillar to butterfly representing the transition that occurs at the end of life.

Butterfly Park was initially inspired by Hospice families and volunteers who sought a place to celebrate loved ones, a place for reflection. But this park is for everyone throughout our region to enjoy, whether or not you have had any experience with hospice.

We hope you will explore every aspect of the park, from the whimsical and playful to the solemn and serene, including the opportunity to donate a park feature and have an engraved message in honor of someone living or in memory of a loved one you have lost. You are also welcome to donate a park feature and simply have your name(s) engraved as donor(s). You will find samples of engraved messages in the catalogue when you click the button to the right.

Butterfly Park is expected to unfold over the next several years, with more work being done each spring, summer and fall.
