Life After Loss for Young Widows & Widowers

HCS – Peterborough Office

4:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.

This group is for those aged 65 or under who are grieving the loss of a spouse or partner.

Registration is required;  please call Marguerite at 352-2253 x255.

Volunteer Training

HCS – Keene Office

Tuesdays, March 14 – April 25
1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Training is offered free of charge and covers topics that prepare a volunteer to assist patients who are experiencing a life-limiting illness and provide support to their families.

Age in Motion

Age In Motion (AIM), an exercise program designed for older adults, is starting new sessions this winter. Classes are led by trained instructors and are held for one hour, twice a week and consist of exercises to increase strength, flexibility and balance. Both men and women from any area town are invited to participate, and new members are welcome to join at any time! A $2 donation per class is requested.

Chesterfield (Town Hall) starts February 13, 2017:
Mondays and Wednesdays from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m.

Stoddard (Town Hall) starts March 7, 2017:
Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m.

Walpole (Town Hall) starts January 9, 2017:
Mondays and Wednesdays from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m.

The following programs are ongoing, but new members are welcome:

Hinsdale (Millstream Community Center):
Mondays and Wednesdays, 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.

Marlborough (Community House):
Tuesdays and Thursdays, 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m.

Winchester (ELMM Center):
Tuesdays and Thursdays, 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.

Physician approval is needed to participate in all AIM classes.  Please call Jo-Anne at 352-2253 x118 for a registration packet.

Walk-in Wednesdays

You can walk into any of our offices on the first Wednesday of every month, our staff members who specialize in home care, geriatric care management and hospice will be on hand to talk with you individually about your specific concerns.  From 3pm-5pm; drop by for completely free, off-the-record, no-commitment advice.

Friendly Tidbits Newsletters

The Friendly Tidbits are distributed at all Friendly Meal dining rooms and to Meals on Wheels clients.  The newsletters contain news, events, entertainment, and menu information.
