Alzheimer’s Education Program

This three part Alzheimer’s Association program will cover the basics of Alzheimer’s disease, strategies for successful communication, and managing behaviors.

 

TUESDAY, MAY 15 from 4:00pm-5:30pm

Introduction to Alzheimer’s Disease

This program will cover the basics of Alzheimer’s disease and dementia.  The general public is welcome.

 

TUESDAY, MAY 22 from 4:00pm-5:30pm

Understanding Communication

This program for family caregivers will cover communication techniques to help you and your loved one understand each other better.  No professional caregivers please.

 

TUESDAY, MAY 29 from 4:00pm-5:30pm

Managing Behaviors

This program for family caregivers will help you identify the underlying message of these behaviors to help reduce stress and increase quality of life for you and your loved one.  No professional caregivers please.

Hospice Foundation of America ~ Living with Grief Program

Hospice Foundation of America’s 19th Annual National “Living with Grief” Program:         END-OF-LIFE ETHICS

The 2012 program, End-of-Life Ethics, will examine, using a case study approach, the ethical issues and dilemmas that emerge at the end-of-life, the principles of ethical decision-making and the effects of these decisions on staff and families.
