Meals On Wheels is provided on a donation system. An envelope is provided weekly for a confidential donation. The actual cost of providing the meal is $6.00; we appreciate a donation of $2.00 to defray the cost of the meal and delivery.
Senior citizens look forward to Meals On Wheels - a hot, delicious meal delivered to their door Monday through Friday. The friendly driver also provides a daily safety check on those participating in the program.

Meals On Wheels are available in many Cheshire County communities for seniors and individuals with disabilities who are homebound, and not able to prepare a meal. For those with special needs, breakfast bags, weekend meals and special diets are also available.

Meals On Wheels are served in a container that maintains the proper temperature of the food upon delivery. If the meal is not eaten right away, the tray can be reheated in a microwave or conventional oven. The container is biodegradable and recyclable.

Meals On Wheels are currently served in Keene, Chesterfield, Fitzwilliam, Gilsum, Hinsdale, Marlborough, Rindge, Sullivan, Swanzey, Troy and Winchester. Requests in other towns are considered on a case by case basis. Please call for availability.

An outreach worker or nurse from Home Healthcare, Hospice and Community Services makes a home visit to explain the program and determine eligibility.
