David Therrien, Chair
David Therrien is a native to the Monadnock region. He grew up in Swanzey and now lives in Alstead, NH with wife, Lisa, and three children, Rachel, Aidan, and Brendan. David is a Financial Advisor with Edward Jones and previously owned The Melanson Company. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Worcester Polytechnic Institute and a Master of Business Administration from University of Vermont. He is a former board member of Monadnock United Way, Keene Elm City Rotary, Monadnock Humane Society, and The Orchard School and a current board member of the Keene Family YMCA.
Maura McQueeney, President and CEO
Maura McQueeney has served in executive leadership roles for both large and small organizations specializing in home health, hospice, medical equipment, and private duty services. She has been integral in consolidating multiple home health and hospice programs as well as fundamentally changing service delivery models to accommodate reimbursement changes. Her background includes acute care nursing quality leadership and she has served as an ANCC Magnet appraiser and trainer for twelve years, assessing best practice for nurses in hospitals across the country. She holds a Masters Degree in Public Health and a Doctoral Degree in Nursing with emphasis on service delivery and executive leadership.
Virginia Jordan, Vice-Chair
Virginia Jordan is a marketing executive with two decades of experience managing some of the country’s most well-known consumer brands. With a BA from Dartmouth College and a finance MBA from the University of Rochester, she has spent her career focused on how to profitably meet (and exceed) the needs of an organization’s various constituent groups. Virginia lives on a bustling horse farm in Westmoreland with her husband and daughter.
Eric Horne, Board Treasurer
Eric Horne is currently a Partner with Horne & Benik Networks, LLC. Horne & Benik Networks, formed in 2004, provides local businesses with computer and network support. Eric received his Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from New Hampshire College (SNHU) in 1985. When not at work Eric enjoys hanging out with family and friends, restoring an old house, and goofing off.
Julie Green, Secretary
Julie Green graduated from John Marshall Law School and was admitted to the Illinois bar in 1987. She recently retired after approximately forty-five years of human resources experience. She proudly spent more than thirty-five years devoted to various nonprofit healthcare leadership positions. Aside from HCS, other current volunteer positions are in support of Monadnock Family Services and the St. James Episcopal Church. Julie and her husband, Doug, have resided in Keene for over thirty years and are proud to be a part of very vibrant and caring community.
Michael Chelstowski, Director
Mike Chelstowski retired after thirty-seven years in administration at Cheshire Medical Center/Dartmouth Hitchcock Keene. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Health Administration from the University of New Hampshire and a Masters of Business Administration with concentration in Health Management from Boston University. His past board involvement includes the Monadnock United Way and Cedarcrest Center for Children with Disabilities. His current Board activities include Monadnock Family Services and Friends of the Keene Public Library. He is a member of the Elm City Rotary Club and serves as an advisor to the Monadnock Regional High School Interact club. He lives in Keene with his wife Kathy.
Mary Davis, Director
Mary Davis, RN worked at Home Healthcare Hospice and Community Services for twenty-four years before retiring in 2017. Mary worked as a per diem nurse for several years before she became a member of the clinical management team and at the time of her retirement, Mary was the Clinical Director of the VNA. In this capacity, Mary worked cooperatively with the clinical team and managers to achieve a Five Star Quality Rating from the Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services. Mary is an active member of several professional and community organizations. Mary and her husband Mike reside in Keene. Mary has a degree in Healthcare Administration and is eager to bring her experience in homecare to the board at HCS.
Julie Greenwood, Director
Julie Greenwood is a shareholder at the CPA firm of Nathan Wechsler & Company. She has been with the firm for twenty years and serves as Director of the firm’s Keene office location. Julie grew up in Keene and graduated from Keene State College. She has served on the several nonprofit boards, including Dress for Success, the Pope Memorial SPCA, and she joined the board of Home Healthcare, Hospice & Community Services in 2017. Julie enjoys painting landscapes and wildlife in oils.
Ann Heffernon, Director
As a community activist, Ann Heffernon has served on the boards of The Community Kitchen, where she is a longtime volunteer, Monadnock Family Services, and the Elm City Rotary. She is one of the volunteer co-coordinators for the DeMar Marathon, on the committee that manages Men Who Cook, and has served on the Cheshire County Democrats executive committee in various capacities since 2006, newly joining the Blue Hampshire task force. A graduate of the University of Vermont, Ann is a manufacturer’s representative. She is married to Jay Ward, and has two stepsons, Bill and Brad.
Donald Mazanowksi, M.D., Director
Don moved to Swanzey N.H. in 1988 with his wife Jane to join the Keene Clinic in the Family Medicine department. He graduated from the University of Connecticut School of Medicine in 1985 and the Geisinger Family Medicine program in Danville, PA in 1988. He practiced in Keene for 33 years during which time he served as a team leader in Family Medicine, was Medical Staff President at Cheshire Medical Center and for a number of years was Medical Director of what is now Westwood Center Nursing Home. He just finished the year working for Teladoc as a telehealth provider. Don and Jane have 2 children and 3 grandchildren and enjoy hiking, biking, kayaking, camping, and traveling to see their grandkids.
Dawn Michelizzi, CFO
Dawn Michelizzi has more than thirty years of experience in home care with fifteen years in the hospice industry in Philadelphia, PA. She has a strong knowledge of both home care and hospice. Dawn is responsible for directing all fiscal activities, including financial reporting, data analysis, accounting procedures, budget preparation, audit preparation, cost reports, and accounting computer systems for the agency. She has been involved in the development and documentation of procedures relating to compliance with Medicare regulations and audit procedures and has experience in all aspects of financial forecasting of regulatory and contractual changes, resource allocation, fund management, healthcare accounting, and internal controls.
William Pearson, Director
William “Will” Pearson has lived in New Hampshire for the majority of his life, moving to Keene from Bedford, NH in 2010 to complete a BA in Political Science. After graduating from Keene State College in 2014, Will ran for New Hampshire State Representative, eventually winning his election and serving in New Hampshire General Court for three terms on the Election Law Committee. Will was selected as one of the House Assistant Majority Leaders for his 2018 State House term. While in the State House, Will completed a Juris Doctorate with the University of New Hampshire School of Law, graduating in 2019. Will currently practices as an employment attorney in Keene where he spends his free time playing music and enjoying the outdoors.
Judy Sadoski, Director
Judy Sadoski headed the City of Keene Youth Services and Human Services Departments for twenty-four years. She has served on Boards of Directors for NH Juvenile Court Diversion Network, NH Prevention Association, Keene Day Care Center, Monadnock United Way, and the City of Keene Planning Board and Personnel Advisory Board.
David Stinson, Director
A native of Texas, David Stinson is a veteran of the US Navy with thirty-one years as a Navy Chaplain. He retired in 2010 at the rank of Rear Admiral. David served three churches during his forty-four years in the ministry: South Congregational of Lawrence, MA; The Congregational Church of Boothbay Harbor, ME; and Glen Ridge Congregational of Glen Ridge, NJ. He retired from the ministry June 2017 after a twenty-five-year pastorate.
Julie Tewksbury, Director
Julie Tewksbury is well known throughout the Cheshire County non-profit world and has supported and served on the boards of many local organizations. She recently retired from her position as Senior Vice President of Operations for Savings Bank of Walpole where she oversaw a mentorship program and fostered the careers of many young professionals.
Andrew Tremblay, M.D., Director
Andy is a native to the Keene area with family roots going quite deep. He currently lives in Keene with his wife Suzanne, and his three daughters, Madison, Samantha, and Jacqueline. Andy is a family physician serving the community at Cheshire Medical Center/Dartmouth-Health for over 21 years and has been the Chair of the Department of Family Medicine for the last 12 years. He earned his Bachelor of Arts in Biology at the College of the Holy Cross and his Doctor of Medicine at the Boston University School of Medicine. He went on to complete his formal residency training at The Toledo Hospital Family Medicine Residency Program in Toledo, OH and after practicing briefly in Ohio, both he and his wife joined the medical staff at Cheshire Medical Center/Dartmouth-Health. He is a former board member for over 6 years at MoCo in Keene with his most recent term serving as President. He is a current board member of Cheshire Medical Center as well. When not working, Andy enjoys spending time with his friends and family, working on the house and yard, traveling, playing basketball (or any other sport!) and having fun in general!
