Home Healthcare, Hospice & Community Services Names Karen Gomes as Interim Chief Executive Officer 

Gomes brings over 20 years of healthcare leadership experience to guide the agency’s mission of compassionate, community-centered care. 

Keene, NH – Home Healthcare, Hospice & Community Services (HCS) is pleased to announce the appointment of Karen Gomes, RN, MS, COS-C as its new Interim Chief Executive Officer (CEO), effective November 10, 2025. Gomes succeeds Maura McQueeney, MPH ,DNP, who retires in November after seven years as HCS’ CEO. 

Gomes joins HCS with over 20 years of leadership across the continuum of care, including geriatric, home health, hospice and population health management. She excels at turning big picture issues and strategic goals into specific action plans created with organizational situations, structure and challenges in mind.  

Gomes’ professional history recently includes her role as Owner and Founder of RN Answers, LLC, a consulting business for Home Health and Hospice companies across New England and New York; including HCS. Previously, she served as President and CEO of Tufts Medicine Care at Home.
